GOSHEN- The Jim Page family will again wow area residents with their spectacular Christmas light display. They have expanded their collection by adding 20 blowmolds, bringing the total to 350. More than 10,000 lights, mostly LED, light up the area that runs adjacent to State Route 416, at 2200, Goshen Valley Dr. Many characters such as Charlie Brown, Spongebob and the Flintstones will greet those passing by.
Keeping the spirit of giving in their Christmas theme, the family will again be collecting non-perishable food items and new toys to be donated to the Tuscarawas County Friends of the Homeless.
“Last year we collected over 400 items that were donated to the Friends of the Homeless,” explained Trisha Page. Those wanting to donate should watch for the small house near the bottom of the driveway in which to place food items and toys. The house is emptied daily.
The display will be lit on Sunday – Thursday, 6-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 6-10 p.m., through New Year’s Eve. The lighting for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be extended until 11 p.m.
The lighting display, considered a family effort, is not the only aspect of expansion for the Pages. Two more grandchildren were added this year in a 6 week period. The family includes Jim and Marilyn Page, who own the Goshen home, and their three sons; Shane and Trisha and their family, Mitchell, Brayden and new addition Lucas, Tim and Katie and their daughters, Mattie and Brooke, and Matt and Tara, with their newborn son, Seth.
