DONALD “FUZZY” EUGENE CARLISLE, 81, died on July 9, 2007. He was a longtime resident of Goshen prior to moving to Tuscarawas to reside with his daughter Debbie Arnold, due to illness. Fuzzy was a son of the late Gibson and Grace Kuhn Carlisle and was born September 24, 1925. He retired from Gradall in 1987 after more than 35 years of service. He was commonly referred to as the “Unofficial Mayor of Goshen”. On April 10, 1959, he married Carol L. Harig and they raised three children: Debbie (Paul) Arnold, Linda (Bruce) Garner and Jim Carlisle. Carol passed away on September 1, 2003. The couple loved attending the Goshen Picnic and participating in other community activities. While researching the history of their home on Goshen Valley Rd., Fuzzy and Carol were surprised to learn that the home had been occupied previously by Don’s grandparents Gibson Sr. and Ella Carlisle and their children Leroy, Florence, Elizabeth and Gibson Jr. who was Don’s father.
