Zeisberger Cemetery wall partially rebuilt…

Kim Sulzner (white shirt) and Rick Stein, both of New Philadelphia, dismantled and rebuilt a portion of the wall surrounding the Zeisberger Cemetery in Goshen. The Wall had developed a large crack and had been pushed outward by a tree which grew to close to it. The men work for Gor-Con Construction of Dover. The project was finished on Tuesday August 21, 2012.

  1. Hi Keith! Do you know what year that was? My late Aunt, Evelyn Howard Moore, who was raised in a home near the cemetery, remembers when they built the wall and told us at one time that they used water from their well to mix the cement. Any chance of finding that photo? That would be a great addition to the website! Thanks for that information. I had never heard that.   2. My great uncle Lawrence Schaar was the person who built the wall. My mother used to have a picture of him.working on it. The stones were brought down from.the Schaar farm. Glad it has been repaired.
