For a brief history of our Hanlon Family, go to this website:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~faywest/page6.html
It appears you must cut and paste it, but you should get to it by doing so.
The O’Hanlons, as they were when they came to America, came from Ireland. Don & I went to Ireland in 1999, but were unable to locate the exact village where they lived. The O’Hanlon Clan traces back to County Armagh, but can’t say that is where our ancestors lived. I cannot find the first names of the parents either, but according to naming traditions, I would guess their names were Richard and Nelly. (Nelly is usually a nickname for Eleanor.)
Since I do not know how many names are cut off or why, here are the last three names on page 24: 8) James C. Haught b. Apr 4, 1867 m. Eunice Moore b. June 11, 1866 9) Jacob Newton Haught b. Feb 22, 1870 m. Artie Moore b. Oct 1870 10) Dorcas Alison Haught b. Dec 5, 1873 m. J.C. Jones b. Oct 1873
Last three names on page 25: 8) Christina Haught – died young 9) Tennessee Haught – died young 10) Asbury Haught – died young.
I have a copy of the Hanlon – Haught History and need info for pages 24 & 25, bottom names are cut off. I would also like to get in touch with LaVonne and see if anyone knows where Patrick & James parents came over from? Thank you
