CAROLE ANNE HOBART- 67, of Dover, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 after suffering a stroke in February 2011 and a recent battle with ovarian cancer. A daughter of Carlena (Davidson) Hobart, of New Phila. and the late Dale Hobart. Carole was born on September 24, 1944, at Goshen, OH. Carole attended Starlight School and was a member of the inaugural class. She was also employed at Starlight Enterprises. She was a member of the Good Shephard Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, at New Philadelphia. Carole enjoyed listening to country music as well as attending the circus.

She is survived by her mother, five siblings, Russ (Ruth Ann) Hobart of Goshen, Nancy Grinstead, of New Phila., Dan (Diana) Hobart, of Uhrichsville, Peggy (Larry) Jacobs, of Conesville, OH and Lori Carpenter, of Dayton TX. 13 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, several cousins; and her roommates Mary Jane and Rosalie, as well as her caregivers at Front Street Group Home. Carole was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents, John and Carrie (Haney) Hobart and Luther and Dora (Scott) Davidson and two brothers-in-law, Charles Grinstead and Mark Carpenter. A complete obit appeared in the Times Reporter on May 8 and 9th.

June 24, 2012 – Annual Family & Friends Day

June 24, 2012
Goshen Community Church will have its annual Family & Friends Day. In addition to that event, a dedication ceremony will be held to dedicate the completion/addition of the fellowship hall & basement renovation. Services begin at 9:30 a.m. with a gospel group to sing. Lunch to follow @ 11:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.
