Obituary – Clifford M. Robson

CLIFFORD M. ROBSON, 82, of Goshen, died on October 24, 2011. There were no calling hours or services according to the T-R publication on October 25. Robson is survived by his wife Betty Davis Robson and children; Carol (Joe) Ginetti, Roger Robson and Phil (Sue) Robson, all of Goshen and Clifford (Joyce) Robson of Tuscarawas.

Obituary – Lois E. Mansill

LOIS E. MANSILL, 72, of Sherrodsville, died on September 21, 2008, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late James A. and Bernice K. Oppy, of Goshen. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Diann Mansill and one granddaughter, Kathrine Mansill. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Bart F. Mansill, who was the former Principal of Central Elementary, in New Philadelphia School District. Lois worked for many years at Harts Family Center, in New Philadelphia and was a member of the Gohsen Community Church of the Nazarene, in Goshen. Rev. Lee Randolph officiated the funeral service. A reception was held in the social hall of the church following the burial at Roxford Church Cemetery.

Obituary – John C. “Jack” Hobart

JOHN C. “JACK” HOBART, age 70, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly on February 10, 2012. He was the son of the late Glenn and Geneva (Briggs) Hobart. Jack was born on January 9, 1942, and grew up in Goshen in the area formerly known as Beidler. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Trudy Breitmeier, whom he married on August 25, 1962. They have four children, Theresa (Don) Cooper, Diane (Tim) Sugalski, Christie (John) Peoples and John “Jack” Hobart II. He also had a twin brother, Jim (Sierra) Hobart and sister Bonnie (Lonnie) Wolfe. Jack retired following a career with the New Philadelphia Fire Department. The complete obit appeared in the T-R on February 11, 2012.

Obituary – Wilson (Bill) O. Kennedy

WILSON (BILL) O. KENNEDY, 67, of Goshen died on August 20, 1998 in his residence. He was the son of the late John O. and Mary E. Wilson Kennedy, of Goshen. He was retired from his work of many years in the retail paint business. Bill was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and graduated from Midvale High School. He and his wife BETTY I. VITT KENNEDY, had two children; Michael O. (Brenda) Kennedy, of Florida and Sue Ann (Steve) Burgess, of Dover. The Kennedy’s were married on January 3, 1953 and were members of Sacred Heart Church, in New Philadelphia. Betty passed away at the age of 69, on February 20, 2003, in Park Village Health Care Center, in Dover following an extended illness. She was a homemaker and also worked at Daniel’s Dress Shop for several years. The couple are buried in Calvary Cemetery, at New Philadelphia.

Obituary – Nadine “Dene” Krocker Badertscher

NADINE “DENE” KROCKER BADERTSCHER, passed away at the age of 48, on February 8, 2003. She was the daughter of Louis and Betty (Swihart) Krocker, of Goshen, born May 17, 1954. She graduated from Midvale High School and married Tim Badertscher, on June 6, 1972. Nadine resided with her grandmother Mamie Cookson Swihart, of Goshen, for a period of time while Tim was serving in the military. Dene and her family resided in Dennison before moving to Gillette, Wyoming in June, of 1995. Visitation was held in Gillette on February 11, at Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Thomas Kadera officiating. Funeral services were officiated by Monsignor George J. Schlegel at the Linn-Hert- Geib Funeral Home Chapel with burial taking place at Calvary Cemetery, in New Philadelphia.

Obituary – Edward P. Krocker

EDWARD P. KROCKER, 75, of Goshen, died January 1, 1992, in Union Hospital after a long illness. Krocker was born in Wainwright and was the son of the late John and Helen Krocker. He retired in 1985 from Warther Auto Electric, at Dover, as parts man. He was a member of the Tuscarawas County Baseball Hall of Fame and the Tuscarawas County Bowling Hall of Fame and an associate member of Tuscawas Veterans of Foreign Wars. He attended Tuscarawas High School. His wife, Kathryn J. Howard Krocker died January 6, 1974. He is survived by  two sons, Edward Keith and Thomas Eugene, both from the Goshen area and a sister Gertrude Krocker, of Wainwright. Edward resided on David Rd. before moving along state route 416. Services were held at St. Therese Catholic Church at Wainwright with Frs. Anthony Migoni and Dan McGinnis officiating. Burial took place in the Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery. A grandson, Douglas E. Krocker and his wife Chris currently reside in the home where Edward P. once lived.
